The inaugural induction, which was held in September 2003, honored nine Nutley individuals whose success and contributions transcended the borders of Nutley.

Included in that induction were Thomas Infusino, Eileen Poiani, Martha Stewart, John Lloyd Huck, and Geerat Vermeij.

Also inducted posthumously were John Jannarone, Virginius Mattia, Annie Oakley and Frank Stockton.

The Nutley Hall of Fame recognizes those individuals who through significant personal achievement have distinguished themselves on a statewide, nationwide or international level and have made their association with Nutley a source of pride for the community.

To be eligible, the nominee must have been born in Nutley, graduated from Nutley High School, or have been a resident of the town for at least 10 years.

The Nutley Hall of Fame Committee is seeking nominations for the next Hall of Fame, which is scheduled for Sept. 23, 2005.

Nomination forms are available at Nutley Township Hall, the library and the parks and recreation building. In the alternative, nominations with one-page summaries can be sent to the
